Convert dates between the Ethiopian and Gregorian calendars
The Ethiopian calendar has 13 months: twelve of 30 days and a final month, Pagume, of 5 or 6 days. Its year runs about seven to eight years behind the Gregorian year, and Enkutatash (Meskerem 1) usually falls on September 11, or September 12 in the year before a Gregorian leap year.
Enter a date in either calendar and get the matching date in the other. It is useful for birth certificates, visa and school forms, and contracts that ask for a Gregorian date. For official documents, confirm the result with the issuing office.
