PDF size target

Many online applications and portals limit file size. Choose the size you need; the tool first shrinks photos without touching the text, and if that isn’t enough, turns pages into images.

Some portals accept files only under a fixed size. This tool aims for the target you choose, such as under 500 KB or under 1 MB, so you do not have to guess a compression level.

Check the result before you download. Very small targets on image-heavy files can make pages look softer, and in that case a slightly larger target or fewer pages may give a better balance. For a simple smaller file without a target, use Compress PDF.

    Questions

Do you guarantee the exact size?

No. We stop at the lowest quality that keeps pages readable. If the target can’t be reached we tell you clearly and give you the smallest file we managed.

    Will the text be damaged?

In the first step the text stays as it is. If pages are turned into images, the text can no longer be selected or searched; you can switch that option off.

What if the PDF cannot reach my target?

Try splitting the PDF into two parts, removing pages you do not need, or choosing a larger target.

Can I set my own size?

Yes. Besides the preset targets you can enter a size of your own.
